Al Jazeera English - Jakarta 48' Fixer Role

I just received an email from Ayse Toprak. She works for Al Jazeera English’s London offices for a program called 48, which is a regular half-hour show for Al Jazeera English’s entertainment strand.

They are looking for a researcher / fixer / on-screen guide for their Jakarta 48', which planned to shoot this June. This is a summary of the show, the fixer role and some example stories from previous shows. She offers me this position, I’m flattered but I realize my English skill is not excellent. So guys if you interested in this position and qualified, please feel free to contact Al Jazeera.

Read this first before you contact them:
We are looking a young, funky, energetic journalist / fixer, preferably born and bred in the city. It would be a dual role - firstly researching, setting up stories and production coordination (eg. filming permits, car hire, sourcing kit), and secondly acting as an on-camera guide alongside our presenter. TV experience is not essential, but we do need someone with journalistic savvy and an eye for a story. The show usually requires 7-10 days of ad-hock research, over a period of several weeks. Excellent English is a must.
