Tasya, Version 2.0

Remember Tasya? The cute little girl [six years old] that was grabbed our attention in a series of TV commercials for Pepsodent toothpaste. The success of the commercials then brought her to the world of singing and acting, in 2000 Sony Music produced Tasya's first album, Libur Telah Tiba! (Holiday is Here!). The album was a great success. And now in 2008 Tasya now become a sixteen years old beautiful girl. I saw her last night on TV when she hosted Nickelodeon Indonesian Kids' Choice Awards. And I think to myself, "OH MY GOD! I’m Getting Old!!!"

Inul Daratista Will Shake her Big Booty in Malaysia

The popular Indonesian dangdut singer Inul Daratista secheduled to shake her booty [NGEBEOR] in Malaysia on Sunday, after two other shows were cancelled earlier this year.

The youth wing of Malaysia's hardline Islamic opposition party on Monday criticized government approval for a concert by Indonesian songstress Inul Daratista, saying her performances were unacceptable for Muslims.

"We are consistent in opposing things and activities which are not in line with the Islamic faith," said Kamaruzaman Mohamad, head of the Parti Islam SeMalaysia's youth wing in the capital Kuala Lumpur.

Cinta Laura today won Nickelodeon Indonesian Kids' Choice Awards for Most Favorite Actress. This is the first Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards in Asia. The Kids' Choice Awards Indonesia was held in Jakarta at Balai Sarbini. Hosted by renowned Indonesian actors Tora Sudiro, Ringgo Agus Rahman and actress/singer Tasya. "Indonesian kids remember this; SCHOOL IS NUMBER ONE!" She said on Award Acceptance Speech.

Indonesian young diva, Rossa, successfully held her first big solo concert at The Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center last night, Wednesday 26 November 2008. The concert, titled Persembahan Cinta (A Love Tribute), performed 15 songs assisted by noted music director Erwin Gutawa and concert director Jay Subijakto and wrapped in beautiful costumes from famous designers Sebastian Gunawan and Sally Kuswanto. The concert was also featured Melly Goeslow and the Ungu band who collaborated with her on her latest album. The international singer Anggun was among the audience who was in Indonesia yesterday.
